Unit
Description
Formed
on Terra in Mid 3077 by Ravenna Nelson, veteran of two decades
of military service with the AFFS, including Operation Serpent
and the Battle of New Avalon during the Fedcom Civil War. Most
of the unit members derived from the successful Shadow Lancers
Mercenary Regiment, who served together during the successful
Antares Campaign and formed a lasting bond. So the Antarian
Lancers were born.
Categorized as a Company sized force of Battlemechs with Battle Armor and
Aerospace Support, the Lancers prefer a flexible form of battle and quickly
adjust their tactics to best suit a situation, relying on speed, coordination
and firepower to carry the day.
Assisting Captain Nelson is 1st Lieutenant Sam MacMillan, a capable soldier
who came highly reccomended during her search for an Executive Officer.
Noted for his ability to scrounge for items that most would think impossible
to find, and his fierce determination, it is expected that he will prove
to be a complimentary second to a Commanding Officer who is known for her
calm under pressure.
The Antarian Rangers will accept any contract within reason, save Riot
Duty except perhaps if absolutely necessary.

Unit
Description
Robert
von Schill was born 3038 on Summer as the third son of the
viscount Hendrik von Schill. After graduating from Sanglamore
Military Academy in 3059 he saw action against clan incursions
and against the Draconis Combine until 3061. Meanwhile promoted
to Hauptmann he left the Lyran Alliance in 3062 to join forces
with Victor Steiner-Davion to side with him in the Civil War.
After the End of the war he returned to the Lyran Alliance
to serve with some units posted on the Marik/Lyran border.
Having achieved the rank of Kommandant hauptmann von Schill retired in
3075 with some old friends, Sam "Griffin" Wellington and Nomo Ataka,
to form the nucleus of the Black Death Hussars. Robert von
Schill and his family are tracing their lineage back to Friedrich
Baptista von Schill leader of the Schillsche Jäger in the Coalition
Wars against Napoleon. The Black Death Hussars are composed
of former members of the 1st Skye Jägers and friends from the
St, Yves Pact and the Federated Suns.
The members of this Unit rely on hit and run tactics luring their opposition
into traps and fighting them with overwhelming firepower. They
keep infantry and Air lance in close support roles, and do
not shy to use dirty tricks, like their namesakes from ancient
history.
The Black Death Hussars will not accept contracts against the Lyran Alliance.

Unit
Description
From
the Succession Wars to the Clan Invasion, from the SLDF’s destruction
of the Smoke Jaguars to FedCom Civil War. Constant and increasingly
escalating warfare destroyed worlds and killed billions. What
many failed to account for, and was indeed ignored when reported,
was that the years of fighting decimated something else. Something
intangible – a soldier’s soul.
Most soldiers persevered, barely retaining their sanity by loosing themselves
among their brethren and unit. Some commit suicide. Others flee,
searching for a place to recover their direction, humanity and
soul – or simply to escape from court martial charges of desertion,
cowardice and mutiny.
A group of such warriors from all over the Inner Sphere and Periphery met
on New Hedon, the capital of Herotitus and formed the unique
and unconventional Black Stars mercenary command.
Though technically a single command, the Black Stars operate like no other
mercenary unit. It is basically a collective of small units ranging
from individual soldiers, to an entire Battlemech lance. These
small units sub-contract jobs from the Black Star leadership.
The leadership of the unit that runs the operations is simply called the ‘Cell’.
Consisting of soldiers who have stayed for the longest with the Black Stars,
the ‘Cell’ negotiates all contracts after filtering through suitable ones
and getting a majority vote from the current sub-contracted units.
The Black Stars make no preference for their recruitment. They would just
as readily hire a retired Colonel from the AFFS as they would a washed
out Periphery Mechjock seeking to escape gambling debts. There have been
been cases of former Word of Blake soldiers fighting side by side with
former ComGuards within the unit. The Black Stars thus offers autonomy
and a safe haven to individuals in the very eye of the turmoil in the current
universe.
The founding members of the Black Stars decided to gave the fragmented
members of the unit at least a passing sense of unity and belonging by
deciding on a simply black star as the unit insignia. It also reflected
the fact that the unit's loyalty was to itself, which may change from battle
to battle – hence the preclusion of a traditional “House” of “Unit” colours.
It may also be noted that being a simple to spray and/or stencil on design,
a new unit sub-contracting under the Black Stars can put up the small logo
quickly, and remove them just as easily when they inevitably decide to
leave.

Unit Description
The Black Talon Phoenixes are a new ragtag outfit looking to make a name for themselves. They were founded by Captain McKay and Lieutenant Horst from what remained in their own pockets. The Phoenix in the Unit’s name derives from the Captain's pervious Mercenary Unit, the Red Star Legion. The Legion was devastated on a diversion contract and never fully recovered. The ending result just a year latter was the death of the unit. The idea behind the name is that out of the ashes of the old, will come the new. Deciding that he knew no other way to live than to fight in a BattleMech, McKay began his journey to the Department of Mercenary Management on Terra for employment. Shortly into his journey, McKay ran into his Second in Command Lieutenant Aiden Horst. The two became friends quickly; it wasn't long before Horst had McKay's full trust and influenced his decisions. Still a week or so jump from Terra, it was during this time that Horst convinced McKay that it was time to be his own boss.
When they arrived on Terra they began calling out old friends and fresh meat. The first of their new found allies and recruits was Josef Wolf and Jonah Haraoni. With these two new Lieutenants, McKay felt confident that the Unit would grow and prosper. As weeks went by he got to know his new found Lieutenants better, and soon they pooled their money together to buy some serious equipment. The Black Talons are currently freshly stocked and looking for promising recruits. They are just waiting for the right time to spread their wings and test themselves in combat. The Phoenixes are divided when it comes on how to operate however. Some of the Unit’s employees are waiting for that Billion Bill Contract that will set them up for life, while McKay and most of his Officers are willing to take any contract that will pay for repairs. The Black Talons are a Combined Arms Unit as they have 'Mechs, Aerospace Fighters, and even Infantry to help satisfy the wants and needs of all the recruits. While plans have been made to add Armor Support, nothing can be promised yet. The Black Talon Phoenixes' Command Staff has been known for going out of their way to spend money on new equipment to please their Pilots and Support Staff even if times are tight.

Unit
Description
Not
all Mercenary Units are created equal. The Deuces Wild has its
origins in the rough and tumble periphery worlds of the Outworlds
Alliance. Comprised of scoundrels and blacksheep from all over
the Inner Sphere and beyond, the unit lacks the spit and polish
appearance and the formality of other commands. However, their
commanding officer, Dwayne Jamison Bishop, considers this a benefit
rather than a hindrance. Bishop’s informal command style,
unorthodox tactics and his periphery upbringing may just give
the Deuces Wild the chance it needs.
The Deuces, formed in early 3078, are comprised of a full company
of mechs and a lance of aerospace fighters with some limited infantry
support for added security. Primarily designed for heavy raiding
missions and hit and fade attacks, the company comprised of mechs
known for their speed and hitting power. With every mech in the
command jump capable, the unit is a fast moving maneuverable force
to be reckoned with.

Unit Description
From the ashes of the
Liao grave-world of Fletcher, the DropShip TSS Achilles has been tasked once
again to carry her charge, the Dragon Slayers Mercenary Company. Host to scenes
of valor, endurance, joy, treachery, and in the end, financial ruin, the
Achilles has returned to service unbowed by his past.
Likewise, the recently re-licensed DSMC carries forward the idealism of the
original company while embracing new tactics and technology. Abandoning the past
reliance on ammunition-dependant combat assets and heavy Aerofighter bombing
support, the new Company's Table of Organization and Equipment is better suited
to what her commander calls "Combined Arms in Stealth" - Reconnaissance in Force
and stealthy Raid operations.
A surgical precision and long field endurance is paid for by the Company's light
touch, however. The Dragon Slayers presently have no BattleMechs above the
50-Ton mark, restricting the amount of armor one can bolt on. Owing to the
philosophy that "every unit must fly", all of the highly maneuverable units are
jump-capable, and no 'Mech has a cruising speed of less than 64 kph. A TOE full
speedy, energy weapon-heavy Clan second-line 'Mechs supported by stealthy Battle
Armor squads and two of the fastest Aerofighters in the Inner Sphere make for
quite a raid group. However, the Dragon Slayers should not (yet) be expected to
perform as an assault force.
The re-licensed Company is headed up by Captain Todd Malloy, a veteran of the
Shadow Lancers' reconnaissance contingent with assistance from unit founder
Ceilidh Blackhurst's Executive officer, Duncan Meyers. Though of differing
opinions of the FedCom Civil War, the two Davion-born MechWarriors have similar
command and tactical styles - likenesses that their mysterious benefactor is
counting upon to make the Dragon Slayer's second wind a lasting one.

Unit
Description
Killian's
Psycho Killers, Hayashi Killian's old unit, was formed after
Hayashi successfully (though at a high cost) defended his homeworld
of Sigurd against Clan Wolf. After his prior military actions
and rebellion quellings on Sigurd, he left the planet to seek
employment elsewhere, working for various Houses and minor entities
of the Inner Sphere for about 20 years. KPK was successful, but
never really received much attention. After the FedCom Civil
War, Darien "Archangel"
Atreides, his wife, and a two friends started the A.C.H. Security
Group, which eventually expanded to include two more of Atreides'
friends and nearly 50 employees. Working within the Federated Suns,
Capellan Confederation and Draconis Combine, the small security
group performed VIP protection missions and small merchant defense
runs. Made up of a battlemech lance, an aerospace fighter, and
a In 3072, Darien met Hayashi on Terra.
After
a year and a half of communication, the two decided to form a
mercenary unit. Darien gave the group to Jane Xian (renamed Jane's
Security Group after Darien's departure) and took himself and
12 other members of the Security Group with him. Darien and Hayashi
arrived on Outreach in 3073 and began the recruitment process.
The
Royal Armored Lancers as a whole specialize in urban warfare
and security duty. Each lance of battlemechs has its own specialty,
and works together to fulfill their desired roles in battle.
While the infantry unit is small, it is top-notch, and the BattleMech
pilots are almost all combat veterans of at least two or more
campaigns. The RAL has plans to expand way beyond just a company.

Unit
Description
The
Wraith Legion is a company sized mercenary mech force formed
in mid 3078 by ex-AFFC Captain Calvin Jacobs. Classified as a
light mech force, the Wraith Legion specializes in fast attacks
and surprise assaults by its primarily light mech forces. Too
light for most offensive contracts, the Wraith Legion is more
suited for raids and recon work. With sophisticated electronic
warfare packages on at least one mech in each lance, the Wraith
Legion is able to appear and disappear from enemy sensors with
almost frightening efficiency.
With the commander hailing from
the Federated Suns, the Wraith Legion is hesitant to accept any
contracts against his birth nation. However, Captain Jacobs,
as a native of the Capellan March, is more than willing to take
contracts against the Capellan Confederation.
