The Battletech-Mercenaries RPG Command Staff is divided into 3 sections, the first being the Department of Mercenary Management (DMM) and the second being the Faction Ambassadors (FA) that represent their factions interests by submission of new contracts and various In Character (IC) plotlines. Finally the third section is the Star League Presidential-Senator, the power broker between the Faction Ambassadors and the embodiment of the will of the people of the Inner Sphere.
Presidential-Senator of the Star League
The primary role of the Presidential-Senator is act as the primary narrator of the Battletech-Mercenaries
non-canon timeline and story directions, they will act as the superior to the Faction Ambassadors and be the single authority
on plots that reach beyond the border of just one faction. They will be taking numerous rights and responsibilities
currently held by Faction Ambassadors and the DMM Staff and more information will be listed in the coming weeks.
The reason for this position is apparent to all current members of the org. The Faction Ambassadors do not have the authority to speak for inter-factional storylines and the Staff are over-burdened with regular admin to bother with intricate plotlines and to co-ordinate the Faction Ambassador concerns, plots, contract consistency and other issues. Additionally the Director, whom this role usually defaults to, has chosen that an independent role should be created to not only free up his time for Admin and system development but also give the 'Presidential-Senator' the freedom not to be bogged down in DMM duties.
