PLANETARY DETAILS:
Abaoji Taizu is a planet settled by Chinese, Japanese
and Korean settlers long before the dissolution of the Star League
in 2465. Named after the most famous Emperor of th ancient Liao Dynasty
on Terra, the people of Abaoji Taizu continued to build their cities
in Asian architectural styles. With Abaoji Taizu located so far from
the Inner Sphere and the Terran Corridor, the inhabitants were forced
to eek out an existence on their own. The populace built a few cities
along the major river valley, the greatest of which was Hong Cheng
Shi, with a population of over 50,000. The citizens supplied for themselves
all of the resources they needed, while trading what little extra
they had to the random trade vessel that passed by once in a while.
The mountain ranges surrounding the river valley allowed for the extraction
of the raw materials necessary for metals.
The coming of the Capellan Confederation and the Magistracy of Canopus
before the fall of the Star League allowed the citizens of Abaoji
Taizu to increase their standard to living. Unfortunately, the War
of Unification, and the following Succession Wars turned the Confederation's
and Magistracy's attentions away from the small periphery world.
Recently, the Kingston's Armored Rangers entire 2nd Battalion was
on planet, along with a company of Magistracy mechs from the 2nd Canopian,
as well as the Royal Armored Lancers mercenary unit.

EMPLOYER SITUATION REPORT:
The imminent destruction of the Crimson
Raiders on planet has brought relief for Abaoji Taizu, but only for
a short while. It seems the Raiders have had funding from an outside
source. Intelligence points that the source of the funding has a base
and support on planet. Rooting them out and initiating a combat campaign
to wipe them out is your new objective.
Some elements of the Crimson Raiders still exist on planet, as well as
those who have not landed on planet yet. The few remnants left are most
likely being protected by their suppliers. Their deaths would be most helpful.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
1) Determine the size and identity
of the Crimson Raider's suppliers, as well as why they are here.
2) Eliminate the suppliers if possible.
3) Secure the planet for the Confederation.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:
1) Eliminate any remaining resistance
to Confederation control.
