Combat Support
Thera-Class FWLS Thomas Marik
Operational Location Details
Unit will be assigned to the Thera-Class
FWLS Thomas Marik. Space operations will be common, with
various planetary landings in many locales. Unit will dock
Dropships with the Thomas Marik and be quartered aboard the
WarShip. Unit will be exposed to a zero-G, vacuum environment
for long periods.
Employers Situation Report
Mission. The FWL has recently
completed construction of the recently renamed FWLS Thomas
Marik. The TM is a Thera-Class WarShip. The mission of the
TM is to make an eighteen-month cruise around the Free Worlds
League. This is a presence patrol, the TM will be stopping
at various ports of call in order to show the flag. Admiral
Benson Gates has been assigned to conduct this mission. The
flight path will be released upon acceptance of contract.
Security Forces. The TM will be assigned a half-complement
of fighters (108 in total). These will be commanded by
CAG Amanda Stark. The Mercenary unit may use the empty
fighter bays of the TM. The TM will also mount a ground
force for planetary deployments. Currently, no Regular
FWLM units are available for this long-duration mission
due to current operational requirements. A Mercenary unit
will be employed to provide this ground capability. The
size of this unit is negotiable, and a supply craft will
be present to handle overflow of DropShip collars.
Duties. The Mercenary unit will provide external security
for the WarShip, as well as supplement the internal Marine
force of the TM if required. Note, this mission may require
extended zero G and vacuum operations. Additional duties
will be at the discretion of the commanding officer of
the TM. These may include presence patrols, military demonstrations
for friendly civilian populations, suppression of piracy,
and any other situations the TM may encounter.
Unit Requirements. This mission can accommodate a unit
of any size, though smaller units may be supplemented.
The unit must have proven itself at least once, though
not necessarily with the FWL. This mission requires
a unit that can take orders directly from a lawfully assigned
FWLM officer, but can exert tactical freedom. This mission
requires work that focuses significantly on Aerospace,
Mech, and Battlearmor forces, though some Vehicles may
be used. This mission requires a professional force that
can act appropriately given a variety of situations.
