PLANETARY DETAILS:
Kazanka is a backwater
trade world that has gone relatively unnoted and undeveloped in the
three hundred years since it was wrested away by the Dragon from the
Outworld’s Alliance. By and large its
terrain and climate are similar to Terra save that only fifty percent
of it is ocean and on which rests a single super continent which spans
across the entire globe. Its people have mostly continued on with the
traditional ways of their Amish colonizers and have remained a mostly
pastoral society, living only with the barest technological trappings
of the 31st century yet living comfortably off the profits of exporting
its agricultural surplus.
Paradoxically though it’s sole city, Okihiro, is a bustling trade hub with completely modern amenities and services centered on a sprawling dropship port that sees trade traffic from both the Federated Suns and Outworlds Alliance. The planetary governor takes a loose hand at governing the city and Okihiro has an atmosphere that can be best described as a mix of Singapore and Tortuga, laws are applied only loosely and criminal syndicates operate freely on the streets. Suffice to say, people are advised to travel in groups and watch their backs.
Kazanka gained notoriety in 3067 when the Combine Navy engaged Clan
Snow Raven forces in a Trial of Possession for the use of Kazanka’s
Zenith recharge station. Having been defeated, the Admiralty honorably
withdrew to allow use of the station. However due to sabotage of unknown
origin, the recharge station was destroyed along with the vessel that
was at the time docking with it, the White Cloud, touching off a decade
long conflict between the Combine and Clan Snow Raven.

EMPLOYER SITUATION REPORT:
After a decade long inquiry ISF agents have finally uncovered the identities
of those responsible for the destruction of Kazanka’s recharge
station and the subsequent hostilities; the Kokuryukai or Black Dragon
Society, an organization with ties to organized crime and more distressingly
the Word of Blake. The ISF would like to apprehend these individuals
and bring them to justice.
Unfortunately given the governor’s loose hand in dealing
with his subjects the Kokuryukai has managed to amass a sizable private
army to defend its agents and holdings which includes both armor and
mechs. Even far more ominous is the reported sightings of Word of Blake
mechs and battle armor augmenting these criminal forces. The planetary
garrison, having been stripped of its mech assets for the ongoing war
with the Ghost Bears, has been judged unable to carry out this mission
given its reduced assets and as such the Combine is looking to hire
mercenary mech companies to augment local forces in a series of raids
to purge and capture these terrorists. The operation will be
led by Agent Heihachi Kikuchiyo of the ISF.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
1) Follow the orders of Agent Heihachi Kikuchiyo
2) Capture or Destroy all identified Kokuryukai Members
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:
1) Support the planetary garrison for the duration of the contract.
