PLANETARY DETAILS:
Lesnovo is part of the Rim Commonality, a small power bloc in the Free Worlds League. Located near the Periphery the world was raided several times by both pirates and the Marian Hegemony in the early 31st century. This led to a lot of dissatisfaction with Janos Marik and the Federal government.[1]
The core of the dissatisfaction came from the fact that aside from its position, Lesnovo has nothing of importance. Its food production was barely able to keep its own population fed, so when it was stolen by pirates, the population suffered. Though some citizens agitated for replacement of the Mariks by House Humphreys, nothing came of this.
EMPLOYER SITUATION REPORT:
The First Rim Commonality Guard have been stationed on Lesnovo III for some time, and have seen no real action for over a decade. Personnel have aged out, been transferred in or out, or in one case even deserted during that period. New blood among the ranks needs something to drill against other than each other, and the rare chance at raiding pirate targets in the nearby periphery has not been enough to satiate them.
Colonel Chowla, the CO of the First, has requested a separate unit for his men to spar against for at least a few months to test themselves against unfamiliar opponents. No line units can be spared at this time, so Central Coord and Command has authorized the hiring of a small mercenary unit with their own equipment to take the job. You will be provided a small base in a remote area on the planet to use during your stay, and to stage from and perhaps use as a defensive or offensive target during your mock campaigns against the first. Payment is already in escrow with the MRBC.

1) Serve as an opponent for the First Rim Commonality Guard Battalion.
2) Provide technical training/support, as needed.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:
1) Assist with any side projects that Colonel Chowla may request your help with.
