PLANETARY DETAILS:
Proserpina is a death trap of enormous proportions. Seven times the planet has been the object of ferocious contests between the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns. After each battle, the planet and its people have suffered grievously.

Of Proserpina's five continents, two are complete wastelands. The northern Amerigo continent is unapproachable except in an environmental suit because of the many long-lasting contact poisons in the soil and water.

During the last battle between Davion and Kurita, the Combine forces wrested the planet away from the Federated Suns by releasing huge plumes of nerve gas that killed approximately 60 percent of the planet's civilian and military populations. Needless to say, the Kurita troops had little problem taking Proserpina after that.

Despite all this, Proserpina now has a large population and a variety of minor industries. Because the planetary capital of Conqueror's Pride is also a prefecture capital, it supports many bureaucrats. Proserpina is also the homeworld of the 9th Benjamin Regulars, under the command of Denice Eastmoreland.

Proserpina also possess its own militay academy. The University of Proserpina teaches combat skills to aspiring infantrymen, MechWarriors, AeroSpace Pilots, and artillery personnel. Many students specializing in conventional arms attend this university.

Native to Proserpina, Blood Limpets are blood-sucking quasi-reptiles with hard green shells and weighing about a kilogram. When they sense body heat, these creatures rise above the muck of their swamp and run with amazing speed on their six legs toward the prey. Needless to say, they gave the early colonists on Proserpina endless nightmares.

The 5th Succession War is winding down to a close. House Davion needs to determine how strong the new borders really are. We are authorizing a small unit a sneak-and-peak across the border to gather intelligence. We need to gather what ever we can on the force that Kurita has on world, their unit readiness, their disposition, and the unit morale.

Very Good Lieutenant General. The forces that you deployed on Proserpina gathered a plethora of valuable intel on the Dragon. We will need to disrupt their timetable by at least six months but up to a full year. What the MIIO will require is for you to preferably hit all three targets; however, one of the three will suffice. The primary target is a fleet of Mule class DropShips scheduled for delivery of replacement ‘Mechs and ‘Mech parts that will need to be disabled or destroyed once they enter Proserpina’s solar system before making it planetside. The secondary targets are two key storage facilities identified in your intel report. They will either need to be raided or leveled. Your tertiary target will be a massive convoy of foodstuff, expendables, and ammunition that will require that your company stop them from reaching their destination to the area of operations of the various forces on world.



Commander, your forces will be unsupported on this raid so you will be required to make your own arrangements for insertion and extraction to and from the target world. In lieu of the ensuing ‘peace’ imposed on our nation by the Star League it is of paramount importance that the Federated Suns can not be implicated in these aggressions. You will receive the standard remuneration as well as standard salvage rights should you choose to undertake this operation.
