PLANETARY DETAILS:

Pleione is an inhospitable place. Deserts cover 95% of the planet's landmass, and the terrain is nearly featureless save for large rock formations that dot the land. Several of these formations were turned into military bases during the Star League era. The most notable of these is a huge formation called Thunder Rock. Capellan defenders used this base during the invasion of Pleione in the Forth Succession War.
Pleione is also home to Little Richard's Panzer Brigade. The unit is mainly scattered to cover the few large cities, which tend to be near the rare bodies of water. Intelligence suggests the Capellans are attempting to refurbish the SL era bases so that Pleione can serve as a stronghold for future attacks and/or large scale counteroffensives.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

1) Verify the status of three SL era bases, paying special attention to Thunder Rock. Any information on current state, as well as resources devoted to refurbishment will be welcome. Additionally, identify any units found not belonging to Little Richard's Panzer Brigade. Intelligence suggests the presence of rotating lance-size units from several elite Capellan regiments. They may be spinning lances through to acclimate them to the planet, or for various other reasons.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:

1) Destroy any enemy forces possible. Avoid civilian targets at all costs, but inflicting casualties on the Panzer Brigade or other Liao forces. This should NOT take precedence over completion of the reconnaissance portion of the mission.
