One of the few planets in the Inner Sphere originally
settled by Utopians, Ward was established during the Exodus as an experimental
community based on principles of harmonic and cooperative activity.
The First Ward Constitution remains one of the most widely studied
historical documents of that era. Although the First Constitution was
scrapped in 2644 for one that favored free trade and greater military
activity, the principles of the original Utopians have otherwise survived
to a surprising degree.
A large number of Wardians are employed offworld,
however. Many are skilled construction workers who contract out en
masse to build roads on the most difficult terrain of neighboring worlds.
One of the most jealously guarded industrial secrets in the Inner Sphere
is the process of producing the material for building these roads.
as the substance is weather-, temperature-, and stess-resistent to
a degree far beyond any other known roadbuilding material.
A Capellan observation-intelligence post is located
on Ward's northern polar cap.

EMPLOYER SITUATION REPORT:
With the world on the edge of the
periphery, pirates are constantly a threat.
Recently, skirmishing between the Taurian Concordat and the Capellan Confederation
has been on the rise. Maskirovka intelligence has gotten word of an assault
on the world of Ward within a month or your arrival on planet. Be prepared
to defend the world against the 1st Taurian.
The Ward Militia is a capable force, and has fought off many a pirate raiding
force. Major Ivan Seeger leads the Ward Militia from his Grand Dragon.
The Militia contains one company of 'mechs, one company of vehicles and
one company of mechanized infantry.
More information will be passed on to the Mercenary Unit upon acceptance
of this contract.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
